Sophie Turner showed up and showed out when the New York Rangers played Tuesday night against the Detroit Red Wings.

The “Game of Thrones” star was put on the jumbotron during the game, and downed a glass of wine like a champ. She didn’t even hesitate to throw it back. (SLIDESHOW: These Women On Instagram Hate Wearing Clothes)

If you weren’t already all-in on Turner, then you absolutely have to be after that stunning performance. Honestly, that might have been a more impressive performance than what she’s done on the show. (SLIDESHOW: 71 Times Samantha Hoopes Stripped Down)

She’s truly a woman after my heart. You can’t chug a glass of wine, and then expect me not to immediately notice. (SLIDESHOW: This Blonde Bombshell Might Be The Hottest Model On The Internet)

Way too many famous people are super stuffy, and afraid to cut loose with us common folks. They have to sit in suites and not get near the unwashed masses. (SLIDESHOW: 60 Times Abigail Ratchford Wore Almost Nothing)

Clearly, Turner is down to ride with just about anybody. It really doesn’t get much more fringe class than chugging booze in a public setting.

Politicians love to play with trains. And your money.

In Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal,” she suggests that high speed rail should be built out across the country and used in place of air travel. But California’s “bullet” train is just one of several examples that demonstrate why tax dollars should not be wasted on these types of projects.

California’s bullet train, which was intended to run between Los Angeles and San Francisco, was originally estimated to cost $33 billion. However, the one-party state of California recently decided to pull the plug on this undertaking due to the fact that after 11 years and basically nothing to show for it, the real cost of the bullet train had climbed to $98 billion in state and federal tax dollars.

A round-trip flight from Los Angeles to San Francisco can be purchased for $149, and the flight takes 90 minutes. The bullet train was an expensive non-solution in search of a problem.

Meanwhile, some politicians in Mississippi, a predominantly Republican state, think it just might be a good idea to shovel taxpayer money to a proposed passenger train in the Southeast. As in California, this proposal — formally known as the Gulf Coast Rail Project — would soon turn into a massive taxpayer boondoggle.

Unfortunately for taxpayers in Mississippi, the Gulf Coast Rail Project is shaping up to be the same disaster. Given the California example, it is much harder to pretend ignorance.

While the total cost for this project, which calls for two daily passenger trains to run between New Orleans, Louisiana and Mobile, Alabama, is hidden, taxpayers will be on the hook for long-term operational and maintenance costs in addition to the infrastructure enhancements, including new train stations.

Estimates have shown that a one-way rail trip on these passenger trains would take more than 3 hours, and would require a subsidy of $180 per passenger. Today, a person wanting to travel between New Orleans and Mobile can get a ticket on Megabus, a 2.5-hour trip, for $14. For the $180 subsidy, the state could give 12 free bus tickets per passenger. In fact, hiring an Uber, a 2-2.5 hour trip, would often be less expensive than $180.

Recognizing the longer length of the train trip, it is reasonable to assume that it would be the least popular choice of commuters. In fact, the rail carrier’s own analysis projects the Gulf Coast Rail Project would attract just 26 riders per train. That is just two more than there are “blackbirds baked” in Mother Goose’s pie.

It gets worse. The Gulf Coast Rail Project would put jobs and potential new jobs at risk. The passenger trains would run on a line that is now being used by freight trains. Since passenger trains get preference over freight trains and the line is mostly single tracked, the Gulf Coast Rail project will interfere with freight traffic industries along the Mississippi Coast. How many companies would decide to build new factories along a hobbled freight rail line?

Mississippi lawmakers should learn from the California bullet train fiasco, as well as the lessons closer to home: similar state-supported trains that once ran between New Orleans and Mobile in the past were discontinued because they were slower, less reliable, and more expensive than other existing modes of transportation.

As Randal O’Toole, senior fellow at the Cato Institute and author of Romance of Rails: Why the Passenger Trains We Love Are Not the Transportation We Need, has exposed:

Today, air travel is far less expensive than train travel, with airfares averaging under 14 cents a passenger mile, barely more than a third of Amtrak fares even though Amtrak receives much bigger subsidies, per passenger mile, than the airlines.

There is no justification for wasting millions of hard-earned tax dollars on yet another expensive, inflexible and unneeded train. Today planes, buses, Uber, and Lyft do much more, much better for much less.

The NCAA tournament begins Thursday, and I couldn’t be more excited.

Throughout the history of March Madness, there have been lots of incredible moments. There’s Christian Laettner’s shot to beat Kentucky for Duke, North Carolina State’s improbable run, Wisconsin upsetting Kentucky, Butler making back-to-back finals and so many more. (RELATED: The March Madness Bracket Has Been Released)

Luckily, there’s a great video that captures all of those chilling moments for the fans. If you’re a fan of college basketball, then you need to see this video.

It’s the perfect way to prepare for the games on the horizon. Give it a watch below. (RELATED: Watch Wisconsin Beat Kentucky In The 2015 Final Four)

Who else is ready to run through a wall right now? I’m so amped. I’m not sure that I can wait until tomorrow. I want the games to start, and I want them to start right now.

There are always so many great storylines to follow. Who will win it all? Who will go down in flames? These are the questions that keep us on the edge of our seats as every second ticks off the clock.

The tournament is all about the highest of highs (beating Kentucky), and the lowest of lows (losing to Duke in the title game). You have to keep your head on a swivel at all times.

I don’t want to be friends with anybody who disagrees with the monumental importance of this sporting event.  Check out the entire bracket below, and let us know in the comments your favorite memories.

“SEAL Team” is finally back.

When we flip on our TVs tonight, the hit military show will return to CBS for a new episode in the second season.

The plot of the new episode, according to the YouTube description of the preview, is: “Bravo Team works with the Congolese Army on a covert mission to capture the head of a rebel militia group. Also, Jason argues with Emma about college, and Sonny and Davis make a big decision about their future.”

This day has been a long time coming, and I can’t wait. It feels like it’s been so long since we had a new episode. Of course, it was only two months ago, but I’m sure you all get my point.

You sometimes just know when a day is going to be a good one, and that’s exactly what we’re getting with a new episode to brighten up our Wednesday. (RELATED: ‘SEAL Team‘ Is Excellent In New Episode ‘Things Not Seen’)

If you’re not watching what Bravo Team is up to, then you absolutely need to give “SEAL Team” a chance. It’s not just an action show, although there is plenty of action.

It puts a ton of focus on what our brave warriors do in the meantime of their private lives. It shows the immense toll combat can have on the family unit and the mind.

The military drama is a lot more than just shooting people and blowing stuff up.

Tune in tonight at 10 p.m. EST on CBS. Make sure you’ve got the time right because it’s new. I wouldn’t want any of you to miss it because it should be great to have the team back in action.

There is officially zero chance there will be any new episodes of “Westworld” coming out in 2019.

According to HN Entertainment, filming on the third season won’t end until October 4, 2019. Filming is set to begin in a few days.

If there was any hope at all that the third season of the HBO hit show would come out this year, you can go ahead and officially snuff out that flame.

There’s no chance in hell it wraps filming in October and is done before 2020. At this point in time, I wouldn’t get your hopes up for anything sooner than May or June of next summer. (RELATED: Jimmi Simpson Says He’s ‘Not Invited’ Back For Season Three Of ‘Westworld’)

Why does HBO do this to us? Why do they make us wait so long for new content. It’s just awful. It’s borderline torture to deprive us of fresh episodes for more than a year. We might end up going two years without a new episode at this rate. (RELATED: HBO Hands Out Massive Raises To Stars Of One Of Its Biggest Hits. Here’s How Much They’ll Make)

As a huge fan of the show, that doesn’t make me happy at all.

Having said all of that, I am still super pumped for season three. After what we saw at the end of season two, there are limitless possibilities to what we might get.

Will it all be outside of the park? Will some of it be outside of the park? Will the Man in Black bounce back? Again, the options are truly incredible.

It better be damn good if we’re waiting so long. Luckily, HBO hasn’t disappointed us yet, even if they do make us wait seemingly forever.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is apparently going through some stuff and wants to be left alone.

ODB was recently shipped from the Giants to the Browns, and I’m not sure he’s handling it super well, judging from a recent Instagram post. (RELATED: New York Giants Trade Odell Beckham Jr. To The Cleveland Browns)

Beckham wrote the following in part in a now-deleted Instagram post, according to ProFootballTalk:

I appreciate the love honestly, but at this moment for the next couple of day,s I’m goin dark. I won’t be around, phone is gone, with all due respect, please don’t text/call/FaceTime unless it’s of the utmost importance. I really need some time to vibe and just get away, process, reevaluate some of the things in my life, as much has changed for me recently. I’m doin amazing thanks for askin!!!

This isn’t what you want to see if you’re a Browns fan. It doesn’t sound too serious, but it does sound like Beckham isn’t exactly embracing his change of scenario.

Nobody goes “dark” when things are going incredibly well. At the very least, I’ve never heard of such a thing, and he was pretty explicit that he didn’t want to be contacted. Not a whole lot of wiggle room there.

Everybody knows that the former Giants star is one of the most passionate guys in the game, and he has a wide range of emotions. He’s been that way ever since he entered the league.

Hopefully, this is nothing more than him just getting his head straight and getting all the changes straightened out in his mind.

If a star player’s mental health isn’t in check, then he won’t play well on the field.

The first trailer for “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” was released Wednesday morning, and it is awesome.

The plot of the film, according to IMDB, is: “A faded TV actor and his stunt double strive to achieve fame and success in the film industry during the final years of Hollywood’s Golden Age in 1969 Los Angeles.”

Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie all star in the Quentin-Tarantino-directed film, which takes place during Charles Manson’s reign of terror in Los Angeles. If the trailer is evidence of what’s to come, fans have every reason to be excited. (RELATED: Check Out The Incredible Photos Of Brad Pitt And Leonard DiCaprio On The Set Of The Charles Manson Film)

Give it a watch below:

What are we thinking here? I’m thinking it looks damn good. The cast is incredible, Tarantino is one of the best directors in the game and Charles Manson case always generates attention.

I think it looks awesome. Plus, Robbie as Sharon Tate looks borderline chilling. Her death is still one of the most famous murders in the history of America.

You can catch it in theaters July 26. You know that I’ll be watching.

Former Saints receiver Tommylee Lewis is headed to the Detroit Lions.

For those of you who may not remember, Lewis was the receiver who got rocked in the NFC championship on the most blatant pass interference of all time, but no flag was thrown.

That allowed the Rams to beat the Saints and advance to the Super Bowl in 2002. (RELATED: Patriots Beat The Rams In The Super Bowl)

Now, Lewis finally has some good news because he got a free agency deal with Detroit. Financial details of the contract haven’t been revealed yet.

To be totally honest, I don’t know a ton about Lewis outside of the fact he was the victim of the most egregious no-call in NFL history.

There’s really no other way to explain it. He got lit up in brutal fashion, and the refs did literally nothing about it. It’s not like it happened in the first quarter. It happened as the final minutes of the game were ticking away. Truly a spectacular failure. (RELATED: Sean Payton Spent Three Days Eating Ice Cream And Watching Netflix After NFC Championship Game Loss)

Hopefully, he provides some help in the passing game, which has already added tight end Jesse James and Danny Amendola.

Things appear to be shaping up nicely in Detroit, and I’m excited. Of course, I’m excited every year, and we always manage to lose. It’s just what life as a Lions fan is all about.

The American Athletic Conference has agreed to a monster television deal with ESPN.

Sports Business Journal reported the following Tuesday:

The American Athletic Conference will get $1B for its media rights from ESPN over 12 years, according to sources. The average of $83.3 million per year is about four times what the AAC was making in its previous rights agreement with the net, which paid the league just over $20 million annually. The new agreement begins in ’20-21 and runs through the ’31-32 academic year.

The annual per-school average of $6.94M provides each AAC school with nearly $5M more in annual revenue.

I couldn’t believe this was real when I saw the numbers. The AAC? Is this a joke? Outside of UCF, literally nobody cares about the AAC. Nobody without ties to the conference gives a damn about their football games. (RELATED: Clemson Beats Alabama For National Title)

Sure, we all enjoy UCF tearing it up, but I don’t think people are clamoring to see UConn and Tulsa battle it out. What an incredible high-stakes matchup that’ll be over the next 12 years!

If this is the kind of money the AAC is getting these days, I can’t even begin to imagine what the Big Ten and SEC could get today if they renegotiated everything. What are we thinking? $10 billion? $15 billion?

Both conferences are about 100 times more important the AAC, and they just got a cool billion. These are the facts, and they don’t care about your feelings.

I’m honestly floored they got $1 billion. Again, outside of UCF, I wouldn’t pay $10 for a ticket to most AAC games, and I’m about as rabid of a college football fan as you’ll ever see.

Something tells me that ESPN is really going to regret this decision.

Nick Saban and Bill Belichick set the internet on fire Tuesday after they were spotted together at Alabama’s pro day.

Photos of the two legendary coaches together quickly spread all over Twitter. It’s worth noting that these two also have a history. They both coached for the Cleveland Browns in the 1990s.

As a football fan, there’s pretty much no amount of money that I wouldn’t pay to be a fly on the wall for a conversation between those two men. I’d pay as much as I could humanly afford. The two have them have a combined 12 titles at their respective levels as head coaches.

Belichick has won six Super Bowls leading the Patriots and Saban has five with Alabama and one with LSU. The numbers are staggering. (RELATED: Patriots Beat The Rams In The Super Bowl)

You could write an entire series of books based off of the wisdom these two could share.

Again, there’s no price I wouldn’t pay to sit in on a conversation between those two. They’re pretty much carbon copies of each other.

Both run their organizations as dictators, and they’re old school. That’s probably a major reason why the two have led such successful dynasties.

It’s also really a shame that we’ll never get to see what Belichick would be like as the head coach of a major college program. If that ever happened, I’d have a beach house in Miami within a month. The idea of him coaching 18-year-old divas is laugh-out-loud funny.

Their attitudes would last for about all of five minutes.

Sound off in the comments with what you thought these two were busy talking about. There’s no doubt at all that these two were discussing something epic.
