Zion Williamson

A ton of people tuned in on CBS to see Duke beat North Dakota State 85-62 Friday night.

According to TVByTheNumbers, 6.2 million people watched Zion Williamson and company stomp all over the Bison in the first round of the NCAA tournament. (RELATED: The March Madness Bracket Has Been Released)

That number led the TV ratings for Friday night by a massive margin and was more than two million more followers than the same time slot Thursday.

This is great news for America. I was a little worried when the ratings took a dive on CBS Thursday. That wasn’t a good sign at all, but it looks like it was a one off event. (RELATED: March Madness TV Ratings On CBS Plummet 26 Percent)

Of course, the Duke Blue Devils are the biggest draw in the sport right now. Even with Kentucky playing Thursday on CBS, I’m not the least bit surprised that Coach K’s squad garnered higher ratings.

Zion Williamson generates massive amounts of attention. It’s just that simple.

I guess that we can all breathe a little easier knowing that America still loves college basketball.

My friends, that’s great news. Now, let’s grab a beer and get back to the games on this beautiful Saturday.

Duke basketball star Zion Williamson is a human highlight reel, and his top plays from the season are proof.

ESPN put together his top 10 plays from the season for fans to enjoy. For those of us who love college basketball, the video is pretty much porn. (RELATED: The March Madness Bracket Has Been Released)

It’s nothing but massive dunks and insane displays of athleticism. Watch it below and try to contain your excitement.

Look, I don’t care if you hate Duke or not. I hate the Blue Devils more than all of you! That’s right, I hate Coach K’s team more than anybody else walking around. (RELATED: Watch Wisconsin Beat Kentucky In The 2015 Final Four)

That’s just the way it is when a team takes a ring right off of your finger. Yet I’m still able to admit greatness when I see it, and Zion is as great as it gets in college basketball right now.

It’s a real shame he missed a decent chunk of the season with a sprained knee. It’s almost like we got deprived of air.

How many dunks did we miss? How many incredible blocks? How many jaw-dropping plays? We’ll never know, and that’s just something we’re going to have to live with.

However, he’s back now, and the Blue Devils look ready to roll in March. Again, I hate them with all the passion in the world, but my eyes still function.

There’s no doubt Duke is the heavy favorite to win the whole damn thing, and Zion is the main reason why.

Sound off in the comments with the team you think will cut down the nets at the end of March Madness. I think most of you will agree with me.

Is there anybody in this March Madness tournament capable of beating the Duke Blue Devils?

This is the question on everybody’s mind as the games begin in a couple days, and the conventional thinking has already changed so much over the course of a week.

If you asked anybody 10 days ago if Duke would likely win it all, their answer would have been simple. As long as Zion remains on the bench, then no.

Hell, I was locked into that camp. I’ve often said Duke was the best team in the country when healthy, but they stumbled often and ugly in their final six games as the freshman freak of nature rehabbed a sprained knee. They didn’t even look like a Sweet 16 team at times. (RELATED: The March Madness Bracket Has Been Released)

Well, I’ve got news, and the haters of the Blue Devils aren’t going to like it. Duke looks unbeatable right now. Sure, they could lose. Anybody could lose on any given day, but it’s not likely if they play their A-game for six straight matches of basketball. That’s just the reality of the situation.

UNC might be the second best team in America, and they lost to Coach K’s guys last week. Duke has handled Virginia with ease this season. Yes, they did lose early on to Gonzaga, but that was due in large part to the growing pains associated with playing such young freshman. (RELATED: Watch Wisconsin Beat Kentucky In The 2015 Final Four)

Let me be crystal clear, and it is painful for me to even utter. This young Duke team looks unstoppable, and I say that as somebody who hates them. Let’s not forget they stole a ring off my finger in 2015.

I get paid to tell the truth. That’s why my checks get signed, delivered and cashed. As far as I can see, there isn’t anybody I’d take over Coach K and his guys right now.

Duke star Zion Williamson had a golden line after winning the ACC tournament Saturday after beating Florida State 73-63.

The ultra-athletic forward missed several weeks with a sprained knee, but he’s been dominating since returning. Judging from what he said after the game, I don’t think his reign of terror on opponents will end anytime soon. (RELATED: Duke Star Zion Williamson Suffers Sprained Knee In Loss To North Carolina)

The freshman phenom was asked what his mentality was for the postseason, and responded with a simple, “Killers kill.”

It’s wild that a week ago I likely wouldn’t have even put Duke in the Elite 8. Now, I think I’d be crazy to not take them for a deep run.

After all, killers kill. It doesn’t get much simpler than that, right?

For as much as I hate the Blue Devils, this year’s team has been incredibly fun to watch when Zion is playing. He just does things on the court that are simply beyond words.

I can’t wait to see what he does in the big dance. I have a feeling he’s going to humiliate a ton of opponents.

Duke phenom Zion Williamson looked 100 percent healthy in a 74-73 win over North Carolina Friday night in the ACC tournament.

Williamson soared through the sky for another monster dunk, and it’s just the latest sign that his knee is perfectly fine. (RELATED: Duke Star Zion Williamson Suffers Sprained Knee In Loss To North Carolina)

Watch the incredible display of athleticism below.

How? How is that type of athleticism humanly possible? Humans aren’t supposed to be able to jump like that at all. It’s not normal.

Yet, Zion does it with virtually no effort. I can’t put into words how impressive he is. I’m not sure there are more than four or five guys in the NBA capable of doing what he can from a strictly athleticism standpoint. With Zion back and healthy, I might have to be all in on the Blue Devils for my bracket in March Madness.

Without him, I wasn’t going to risk a penny on them. With him back, they look dominant once again.

This is why we love March!

This time, Nike made sure there were no problems with Duke basketball superstar Zion Williamson’s shoes.

During Thursday’s win over Syracuse, Zion wore Kyrie 4’s, a modified model of Boston Celtics star guard Kyrie Irving’s brand. Zion had missed the previous three weeks after one of his Paul George Nike shoes appeared to explode thirty seconds into the Blue Devils rivalry game against North Carolina.

The shoe apparel company sent some of their top people to China to personally oversee the making of Zion’s new Kyrie 4’s, according to Coach K. (RELATED: John Calipari And Mike Krzyzewski Are The Highest Paid College Basketball Coaches)

“They came back within a week with different alternatives to make sure that it was done right,” Coach K said. “So their immediate, great response was appreciated and it was something that we have grown to expect from our relationship with them.”

Nike also had a team fly up to Durham to measure the shoes, according to ESPN:

Good for Nike. While it’s not fair to blame them for the initial accident that sidelined the future NBA number one pick, it’s good to see them looking out for one of their (likely) future clients. (RELATED: WATCH: Zion Williamson Throws Down Incredible Dunk)

I’m already looking forward to the first commercial Nike runs for Zion. It’s going to be epic.

Duke basketball star Zion Williamson is officially back.

According to ESPN, Williamson has been cleared to play Thursday night against Syracuse in the ACC tournament. He hasn’t played since spraining his knee in a game against UNC in February(RELATED: Duke Star Zion Williamson Suffers Sprained Knee In Loss To North Carolina)

This is the day we’ve all waited for. Duke is 3-3 in their last six games without him, and they have no chance of winning in the tournament without him.

He changes everything about the game when he plays. The freshman phenom is the most dominant player in the country when he’s healthy. (RELATED: Lawrence, Kansas Named Best College Basketball City In America)

Having said all of that, don’t be surprised if Duke loses tonight to Jim Boeheim’s ball club. I find it a bit hard to believe that he’s going to be 100-percent after missing several weeks. It’s just not likely.

Duke is currently favored by 11.5 points. If you’re a betting man, I’d recommend hitting Syracuse for tonight. It might take a bit to shake the rust off.
