How Many Times Do We Have To Warn Iran? Trump Says If He Is Forced To Do Something It’s Going To Be A Large Response.

After showing military restraint, Trump warns Iran in ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ interview
President Trump, after calling off a military strike on Iran following the downing of an American drone last month, delivered a stern warning to the regime during an interview with Fox News. Speaking exclusively with Tucker Carlson, Trump said he “built up a lot of See More great capital” after his decision — but said that means “if something should happen, we’re in a positionto do far worse by not doing it.” He quickly added, “But, hopefully, we don’t have to do anything.” The president’s comments on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” were made before it was reported on Monday that Iran has exceeded the threshold for the Islamic Republic’s low-enriched uranium stockpile agreed upon in the 2015 nuclear deal. But at a White House event on Monday, he said Iran was “playing with fire.”

During the “Tucker” interview, President Trump also shared his plans to combat rising homelessness and mental illness in America.

Cory Booker unveils plan to ‘virtually eliminate immigrant detention’
Sen. Cory Booker, trying to jolt his 2020 presidential campaign, is unveiling a comprehensive plan to “virtually eliminate immigrant detention” and expand protections for illegal immigrants through executive order — bypassing Congress entirely — “on day one of his presidency.” The aggressive proposal comes as polls consistently have shown Booker trailing many fellow Democrats in the White House race, including Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. Although several of his rivals already have announced similar proposals and even endorsed decriminalizing border crossing entirely, Booker’s plan was unique in focusing on the immigrant detention facilities that have attracted national attention in recent weeks.

Booker’s plan comes as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is facing a lingering political backlash from liberal House Democrats over his role in the passage of a bipartisan border bill last week, which saw House Speaker Nancy Pelosi forced to back down from a push to include restrictions on immigration enforcement. It also comes amidoutrage over claims made by U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., that women at a southern border facility are being forced to drink “out of toilets.” U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officials have strongly denied AOC’s allegations.

Report: Nike dropped Betsy Ross-themed Fourth of July sneaker after Colin Kaepernick complained
Just don’t do it. That was the message ex-NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick delivered to Nikeover the planned release of a USA-themed sneaker, which featured a Betsy Ross flag on the heel, according to a report. Nike nixed the released of the Air Max 1 USA after having already sent the sneakers to retailers because the protesting quarterback said he felt the use of the Betsy Ross flag was offensive and carried slavery connotations, sources told The Wall Street Journal.

Accused Navy SEAL’s fate in jury’s hands
Jurors will begin their first full day of deliberations in the court-martial of a decorated Navy SEAL accused of murdering a wounded ISIS war prisoner in Iraq. Jury deliberations started Monday following closing argumentswhere military prosecutors said Special Operations Chief Edward Gallagher’s words and actions proved he murdered a member of the Islamic State terror network in May 2017. The defense argued the prosecution’s case had “huge gaping holes” and that Gallagher was a subject of “fixation” by military prosecutors. “They started with a conclusion … [and] … ignored everything that didn’t fit,” Timothy Parlatore told the jury of five Marines and two sailors during his closing argument.

Conservative activist Charlie Kirk is launching a massive get-out-the-vote campaign Tuesday aimed at identifying and enlisting 1 million student supporters of President Trump ahead of the 2020 election. The “Students for Trump” campaign will look to target students on more than 300 campuses, in what Kirk describes as the biggest operation of its kind. “This is the most aggressivevoter identification GOTV program targeting students on college campuses for a Republican president ever,” Kirk told Fox News.

TUNE IN: Charlie Kirk will appear on “Fox & Friends” today at 6:30 a.m. ET

Trump Says He WILL NOT Fire Kellyanne Conway. What Do You Think About The Hatch Act?

Iranian vessel removed unexploded mine from stricken oil tanker in Gulf of Oman, US officials say

An Iranian vessel removed an unexploded mine that had been attached to a Japanese-owned oil tanker that suffered serious damage after an explosion in the Gulf of Oman early Thursday, U.S. officials told Fox News, as the U.S. Navy released video purportedly showing the incident. The imagery came from the USS See More Bainbridge, a guided-missile destroyer that rescued 21 sailors from the stricken tanker.

At least one other mine attached to the tanker’s hull detonated, causing the blast. It happened near the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a key route for oil shipments in the region. A U.S. official told Fox News an Iranian gunboat approached the Kokuka Courageous later in the day and removed the unexploded triangular-shaped limpet mine, the same type of mine used to damage four other tankers in the Gulf of Oman last month.

WH press secretary Sarah Sanders will leave office by the end of the month, Trump says

President Trump wrote Thursday on Twitter that White House press secretary Sarah Sanders will be leaving her position at the end of the month. “After 3 1/2 years, our wonderful Sarah Huckabee Sanders will be leaving the White House at the end of the month and going home to the Great State of Arkansas,” Trump wrote. “She is a very special person with extraordinary talents, who has done an incredible job! I hope she decides to run for Governor of Arkansas – she would be fantastic. Sarah, thank you for a job well done!”

The president has not yet named a replacement for Sanders. His announcement came moments before he made remarks at a White House event on its “Second Chance” program boosting the hiring of criminals who have served their sentences.

Julian Castro admits Hatch Act ‘mistake,’ calls for Kellyanne Conway’s termination, in Fox News Town Hall

Former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro told Fox News on Thursday night that White House adviser Kellyanne Conway should be fired for violating the Hatch Act — the same federal law Castro himself was found to have violated in 2016. The 2020 White House contender’s remarks came in a Fox News Town Hall in Tempe, Ariz., hosted by Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum.

A 20-year-old black man whose Wednesday shooting death by a fugitive task force sparked a night of violence and unrest in a Memphis, Tenn., neighborhood, was wanted for a shooting in Mississippi, according to media reports. DeSoto County District Attorney John Champion said Brandon Webber was being sought on aggravated assault and armed robbery charges related to a shooting during a car theft in Hernando, Miss., on June 3. The victim was shot five times and survived, Champion said.

Trump says Sleepy Joe reminds him of running against “Crooked Hillary” in 2016. Do you think Joe Biden has a chance?

Trump, Biden give preview of 2020 general election as they blast each other in Iowa
In what could be a preview of the 2020 general election campaign for the White House, both Joe Biden and President Trump took repeated, personal swipes at each other during dueling political events in different Iowa communities on Tuesday afternoon. Trump tore into Biden as “Sleepy Joe” and said See More the former vice president reminds him of running against “Crooked Hillary” in 2016. On the other side of the state, at about the same time, Biden said the Trump presidency “has got to end,” after labeling the president an “existential threat to America” earlier in the day.

The president hit Biden for visiting Iowa “once every two weeks,” mocking the former vice president for repeatedly mentioning his name. Meanwhile, Biden employed a similar line of attack. “One of my staff showed me that apparently he had my speech on — on Air Force One,” Biden said at Iowa Wesleyan University in Mount Pleasant. “I guess he’s really fascinated with me. I find it fascinating.”

Sanders to make his case for Democratic socialism
Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., is expected to make a speech on Wednesday touting his idea of Democratic socialism, a systempromising Medicare-for-all, free public college and a $15-per-hour minimum wage, all of which have caused Republicans to dismiss him as too far to the left. Sanders is expected to defend these ideals as the “unfinished business” necessary to restore America to Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal era if he’s elected president in 2020. His campaign platform will largely hinge on the promise to address the growing wealth inequality and guarantee economic rights that he feels all American’s are entitled to.

Jon Stewart shames lawmakers on behalf of 9/11 first responders
Jon Stewart slammed lawmakers who missed a hearing Tuesday on 9/11 victims’ compensation fund and called on them to back up their words with actions and help American heroes who are still suffering today. The sparse attendance by lawmakers was “an embarrassment to the country and a stain on the institution” of Congress, Stewart said during the hearing, adding the “disrespect” shown to first responders now suffering from respiratory ailments and other illnesses, “is utterly unacceptable.” Lawmakers from both parties said they support the bill and were monitoring the hearing amid other congressional business.

Still, the empty seats were unacceptable to Stewart. “That drove me nuts,” the comedian said in an interview on “Shepard Smith Reporting.” “They kept saying it’s a ‘sub-subcommittee.’ There’s still people on the sub-subcommittee that aren’t here. Either 9/11 was a priority or it wasn’t. But, your deeds have to at some point match your tweets and your words. Today it didn’t.”

Donald Trump Jr. to testify on Russia again
Donald Trump Jr. will testify Wednesday behind closed doorsbefore the Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee, as part of what the president has called an “unfair” effort to subject his son to yet another interview on Russia-related matters. The interview will likely be relatively brief. Trump Jr. has already provided more than twodozen hours of testimony before Congress. The latest meeting comes after the committee’s Republican chairman, North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr, subpoenaed him as part of the panel’s Russia investigation.

Donald Jr’s latest testimony comes as House Democrats on Tuesday passed a civil enforcement resolution that Democrats say effectively holds Attorney General William Barr and former White House counsel Don McGahn in contempt of Congress. On Monday, a key Democrat-led committee postponed its own contempt vote and said the Justice Department was cooperating with its investigation.

US Women’s World Cup team a bunch of sore winners?
The U.S. women’s 13-0 shellacking of Thailand to kick off their Women’s World Cup title defense on Tuesday inspired confidence. But it also came under criticism from some who felt the team showed poor sportsmanship by continuing to score and celebrate in front of an already-beaten opponent. “0.0 problem with the score line as this is THE tournament BUT celebrating goals (like #9) leaves a sour taste in my mouth like many of you, Tweeted Taylor Twellman, ESPN soccer analyst.

Trump sues to block subpoenas of business records #MagaFirstNews W/ @PeterBoykin An asylum overhaul to counter a border crisis President Trump has called for a sweeping overhaul to an asylum system he has long said is rife with fraud — including a new fee to process asylum applicants, and the capacity to rapidly adjudicate applicants’ claims while also barring them from working in the U.S. in the meantime. In a presidential memorandum, Trump specifically told Attorney General Barr and See More acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan that the move was necessary to address a crisis at the border. Arrests along the southern border have skyrocketed in recent months, with border agents making more than 100,000 arrests or denials of entry in March, a 12-year high. Immigration courts that process asylum claims currently have a backlog of more than 800,000 cases. ‘Issued to harass’: Trump sues to block subpoenas of business records President Donald Trump filed a lawsuit Monday against Deutsche Bank and Capital One in an attempt to block congressional subpoenas for his business records, claiming House Democrats are simply attempting to harass him. Two House committees subpoenaed Deutsche Bank and several other financial institutions earlier this month as part of investigations into Trump’s finances. The lawsuit by Trump, his sons Donald Jr. and Eric and his daughter Ivanka, was filed in Manhattan federal court. The Trump Organization and the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust are among the other plaintiffs. Politico reported that in a joint statement, Democratic Reps. Maxine Waters, chairwoman of the Financial Services Committee and Adam Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, called the Trump suit “meritless” and claimed it was a delay tactic. Tension over Attorney General Barr’s testimony escalates House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters Monday night that President Trump “has demonstrated on a daily basis his obstruction of justice” amid a conflict between the White House and Congress over the terms of scheduled testimony by Attorney General William Barr before the House Judiciary Committee. Barr is scheduled to testify before the Senate and House Judiciary panels this week on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report. However, the Justice Department informed the House committee on Sunday that Barr would not attend the scheduled Thursday hearing if committee lawyers seek to question him. When asked if she had a message for Barr Monday evening, Pelosi said: “Respect the constitution. Honor your oath of office. Honor the request of Congress. For the American people.” The skirmish over Barr’s testimony came as Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein submitted his long-anticipated resignation, effective May 11. The growing tension could add even more intrigue to Tuesday’s scheduled meeting between Trump, Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on a national infrastructure package ‘Medicare for All’ showdown House Democrats will hold their first-ever hearing on Medicare for All legislation on Tuesday, advancing a sweeping proposal that several prominent 2020 Democratic presidential hopefuls have embraced — even as some progressives caution the hearing may amount to a “farce,” and President Trump and top Republicans call the idea a socialist prescription for disaster. The 10 a.m. ET Rules Committee hearing concerns the Medicare for All Act of 2019, which promises to rapidly provide coverage for “all people living in the U.S.” within two years, according to the current draft of the bill and a summary released by Washington Democrat Rep. Pramila Jayapal. ‘Gone way too soon’: Remembering director John Singleton Hollywood is mourning the loss of Oscar-nominated writer and director John Singleton. The 51-year-old “Boyz n the Hood” director died Monday after having been in a coma for 12 days, following a stroke. Singleton’s family made an agonizing decision to remove him from life support. Stars flooded social media to pay tribute to Singleton, remembering him as an iconic director and a trailblazer in his industry. “I was discovered by a master filmmaker by the name of John Singleton,” Ice Cube, who starred in “Boyz n the Hood,” wrote on Twitter alongside a photo of the two at the Cannes Film Festival in the ’90s. “He not only made me a movie star but made me a filmmaker. There are no words to express how sad I am to lose my brother, friend & mentor. He loved bring the black experience to the world.”

#Avengers running for President 2020 #MAGAFirstNews with @PeterBoykin march for Trump info Biden targets Pennsylvania as Dems face a women problem; NY Times apologizes for Trump-Netanyahu cartoon Biden to hold first campaign rally in battleground Pennsylvania Former Vice President Joe Biden is give the first campaign speech of his official 2020 presidential campaign on Monday and it’s no coincidence that it will be in the battleground state of Pennsylvania. Biden is a longtime former See More senator from neighboring Delaware, he was born in Pennsylvania, is the only primary candidate from the area, and has numerous ties there. His planned speech to an organized labor crowd in Pittsburgh comes days after he announced his candidacy and promptly went to a fundraiser in Philadelphia organized by the area’s prominent Democrats. In Pittsburgh, Biden is expected to receive the endorsement of the International Association of Fire Fighters and speak about rebuilding the middle class. Expect President Trump to be watching closely. Brad Parscale, Trump’s campaign manager, told CBS’ “Face the Nation” that he believes four left-leaning states — New Hampshire, New Mexico, Nevada and Colorado — could be up for grabs and that the campaign understands the importance of maintaining support in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Florida. Still, with Biden’s emergence as the Democratic frontrunner, some observers wonder why, in a party that claims to best represent women, none of the record-breaking number of female candidates can seem to gain much momentum – especially given the veteran politician’s questionable history with women (see Anita Hill and various women’s accusations of inappropriate behavior against Biden). comment ICYMI: Trump explains record migration influx, says Dems have turned border into ‘Disneyland’ President Trump told “Sunday Morning Futures” that illegal immigrants are pouring into the country at unprecedented rates “because our economy is so good,” and “everyone wants a piece of it” — and, he asserted, Democrats have now provided major incentives for illegal immigrants to bring children with them as a legal shield.”we go out and we stop the separation,” Trump said in an interview with Maria Bartiromo. “The problem is you have 10 times more people coming up with their families. It’s like Disneyland now.” comment New York Times apologizes multiple times for Netanyahu-Trump cartoon The New York Times Opinion section issued a second apology Sunday over a cartoon of President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu which was called offensive because of “anti-Semitic tropes.” “We are deeply sorry for the publication of an anti-Semitic political cartoon last Thursday in the print edition of The New York Times that circulates outside of the United States, and we are committed to making sure nothing like this happens again,” the opinion section tweeted Sunday. “Such imagery is always dangerous, and at a time when anti-Semitism is on the rise worldwide, it’s all the more unacceptable.” The new apology said that the decision to run the syndicated cartoon was made by a single editor working without adequate oversight. The cartoon showed Trump wearing a pair of sunglasses and being led by a dog depicted as Netanyahu. The dog had a Star of David collar. comment shooting Report: Chicago prosecutor Kim Foxx subpoenaed over Jussie Smollett case Chicago’s top prosecutor, Kim Foxx, has been subpoenaed over her handling of the Jussie Smollett case, according to The Chicago-Sun Times. Foxx, Cook County’s state’s attorney, will have to appear in court after a retired appellate judge, Sheila O’Brien, filed a petition last week for a special prosecutor to probe the Smollett case, in which a 16-count indictment against the “Empire” actor was dropped last month. Foxx’s top deputy, Joseph Magats, was also subpoenaed, and another document requested that Smollett appears at the hearing, the report said. comment AOC and Conway trade Twitter barbs Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.  accused Kellyanne Conway Sunday of attempting to “stoke suspicion” regarding the freshman lawmaker’s religion after the White House adviser questioned why she didn’t comment on the Sri Lankan terrorist attacks on Easter Sunday. In a back-and-forth exchange on Twitter, Ocasio-Cortez asked why Conway would note that she didn’t tweet about the bombings, which left more than 250 people dead. “Are you trying to imply that I am less Christian? What was the point of you bringing this up on national TV?” the lawmaker asked, alongside a jab about how she was visiting her grandmother in Puerto Rico, “which continues to suffer from the White House’s incompetent disaster response.” comment avengers running for president 2020 ‘Avengers: Endgame’ pulls a Thanos on box office records “Avengers: Endgame” shattered the record for biggest opening weekend with an estimated $350 million in ticket sales domestically and $1.2 billion globally, reaching a new pinnacle in the blockbuster era that the comic-book studio has come to dominate. Marvel’s “Avengers” finale far exceeded even its own gargantuan expectations, according to studio estimates Sunday. The movie had been forecast to open between $260 million and $300 million in U.S. and Canadian theaters, but moviegoers turned out in such droves that “Endgame” blew past the previous record of $257.7 million, set last year by “Avengers: Infinity War” when it narrowly surpassed “The Force Awakens.” “Endgame” was just as enormous overseas, obliterating the previous record of $640.5 million, also set by “Infinity War.” ending
