While I appreciate the intent to maintain fairness and integrity in certain sectors like sports and military, I’m concerned about the government’s role in defining personal identity. Biologically, there’s more to consider than just male and female, and gender expression should be a personal freedom, not dictated by policy. This declaration could potentially overlook the complexities of human biology and identity, which I believe should be respected under our constitutional rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
This response reflects the tension between upholding certain conservative values regarding gender roles and advocating for minimal government intervention in the personal lives of individuals, especially where identity is concerned.
