Here’s the headline: The European Union passed the Digital Services Act. The bill takes aim at ‘hate speech’ and ‘disinformation’ online, by forcing Big Tech companies like Google and Facebook to police online speech more strictly.

Here’s what that really means: The EU just outlawed free speech online for Europeans.

Conservatives in the U.S. know very well what they mean by ‘hate speech’ and ‘disinformation’:

Hate speech is saying biological men shouldn’t compete in women’s sports

Disinformation is questioning what the government says about Covid

…and our elites want to do the same thing in the United States. You can bet that the Democrats will try to push a similar bill before the 2022 midterm elections.

Barack Obama has been tweeting and even giving a speech about restricting online speech.

He tweeted:

“Disinformation is a threat to our democracy, and will continue to be unless we work together to address it.”

Hillary Clinton tweeted about “disinformation” on the same day as Obama, even citing the new EU law:

“For too long, tech platforms have amplified disinformation and extremism with no accountability. The EU is poised to do something about it.”
