Diet Socialism is Socialism

By Peter Boykin – American Political Commentator / Citizen Journalist

‘DIET’ SOCIALISM IS STILL SOCIALISM

We finally have an idea of what’s inside the framework of Joe Biden’s new $1.75 trillion-dollar ‘Build Back Better’ spending bill. And it’s a whole lot of socialism. It may not be as much socialism as his original $3.5 trillion-dollar framework, but diet socialism is still socialism.

Even though we haven’t had solid details until now, I’ve been warning for months in BOLD AND ALL CAPS that this bill was going to be about Green New Deal and Welfare spending… and I’m not too bashful to tell you – I was right. Here’s a look at where Biden wants to blow $1.75 trillion dollars:

? $555 billion for environmental programs, including:

$320 billion for consumer clean-energy tax credits because they know green energy is more expensive than clean coal or natural gas

$110 billion in subsidies (aka payoffs) for companies that produce items like solar panels and batteries

$105 billion for a “Civilian Climate Corps” – This was a program AOC has pushed… a new federal bureaucracy that will employ tens of thousands of young climate soldiers to enforce Green New Deal policies.

? $400 billion to fund pre-school for 3 and 4 year-olds and to cap child-care costs at 7% of income for families that earn up to 250% of their state’s median income.
California’s median income is $75,000 per year. This means the government will be subsidizing child care for families making close to $200,000 per year.

? $200 billion to give enhanced child-tax credits for families that earn up to $150,000.
$3,600 annually for children under 6
$3,000 annually for children under 18

? $150 billion for home health care for the elderly and people with disabilities

? $130 billion to keep ObamaCare afloat, replenishing its subsidies.

? $90 billion in “equity” investment that would include maternal health and anti-violence initiatives, Native American aid, and more.

? $40 billion for higher education equity: grants for low-income students, funding for HBCUs, and new community college/apprenticeship programs.

? $35 billion to expand Medicare to include the cost of hearing aids.

You’re probably going to look at a few of the items on this list and feel sympathetic towards them and you should. But 95% of what’s in this bill is straight-up socialism.

For example:
When you subsidize inefficient green energy with government dollars, you drive low-cost natural gas out of business.
What happens next? The natural gas companies go out of business and when the government subsidies for green energy run out, who gets stuck with the higher energy bill? You and me. That’s how socialism ruins societies.

So what can we do? We need to call the two moderate Democrat Senators: Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema’s offices. Be polite, of course. Use the above information and tell them that the American people will not re-elect them if they vote for diet socialism.

Joe Manchin: (202) 224-3954

Kyrsten Sinema: (202) 224-4521
